Principle: Courage

Make sure to read all the way to the bottom including the comments.
Core:
I hope you took time to checkout EVERY link with your family.

Journeyman:
Courage, as with each of the principles, is learned best in there application to people's lives. Without application they don't have purpose. Let's look at a few lives that have made an impact not just in Africa but around the world.
Choose at least 1 of these people from Africa to learn about and record any impressions. Get started with these links:
  • Moses
  • Nelson Mandela start with this link. If possible watch "Long Walk to Freedom" I'm confident it is on Amazon Prime Videos, likely on Netflix, and at most libraries.
  • The Boers
  • Cleopatra VII
  • Angus Buchan- It is hard to find good things said about him. There is lots of criticism about this man. I encourage you to read this even though it is critical of him and notice the points they are critical about -how do you feel about those points? Use the Spirit to hear the truth and appreciate a man who believes in God and His power. There are many good true Christians who don't have the fullness of the Restored Gospel yet are courageously sharing the truth they do have -Angus is one of these in my opinion. Either watch this or even better watch "Faith like Potatoes" I'm confident it is on Amazon Prime Videos, likely on Netflix, and at some libraries.

Master:
Do each of these:
  • Remember what we learned and talked about last month with Divine Roles: Leadership Lens -in Journeyman and Master about genius and personal divine missions? Review it here.
  • It takes courage to live up to your genius and to fulfill the missions you have been sent here for. Pray and seek to know how to do it; then with courage get started.
  • Bring something to share with us that is your genius: a musical number to preform singing or musical instrument (our keyboard is working again if you need it), a painting, a speech, a poem, cooking, sewing project, whatever it may be.

* Finish The Robe or a similar book before this Thursday's, February 22, book discussion at the Bate's home.
