Principle: Faith

Northern Europe
Inspirements
(Read all the way to the bottom; even if you aren't doing higher levels of inspirements.)

Core
Everyone come prepared before class by:
  1. Do a scripture study on faith (mark and record)
  2. What things have motivated people, throughout time, to build civilizations?  What has happened to civilizations that were build on or have shifted to a focus other then faith and obedience to Heavenly Father?
  3. Be prepared to share your favorite scripture about faith and why OR a discussion question. (We will share these on our way to UVU for a field trip.)
Journeyman
If you choose to work on level 2, you should complete level 1 first.
  1. Ponder James 1:2-6, 12-17, 22,25  (look at footnotes, especially JST notes). The whole chapter is excellent but at least read these verses.
  2. We have talked about the work the Lord had for them to do and how they did it with  faith. These individuals acts of faith (making the word of God available to all, not just the learned; purifying their lives to be worthy of God's direction and help in their battles, giving hope to the suffering -to name a few) have blessed us.  What work does the Lord have for you in this life, in general and personally? How will your faith be essential in accomplishing the work, missions Heavenly Father has for you?
  3. Preview the Roots of Knowledge. Look for examples of faith, colonization, and evidence of the Lord's hand. Record what you learn, as well as, your thoughts and impressions.
  4. Choose a window that interests you most and be prepared to teach us about it.
Master
If you choose to work on level 3, please complete levels 1 and 2 first.
  1. Prayerfully write a list of your interests, talents, and natural abilities.
  2. Ask 2 people that know you well to share with you what they think your genius (exceptional intellectual or creative power or other natural ability) is. Write their responses down.
  3. Choose one of these areas work on more intentionally.
*If you choose to read "The Hiding Place" let me know this week, so I can get details for our book discussion to you. (Only those that complete the book are invited. It would be wonderful if all of you were attending.).

**Keep reading The Robe at least chapters 1-3.
